I recognized three of the pieces–Pixy’s (Rachel Marks), Sara Butcher’s, and Duncan Long’s.

My fave is by Carmen Keys, clearly inspired by the multiple-eyed, six-winged creature of Revelation. I see it and I wanna sing Miss Angie’s whack little ditty–which is one of my fave “get silly in the car with praise” songs–“100 Million Eyeballs.”

Yeah, after it became all the rage—

Everyone who writes and reads and enjoys speculative poetry has to smile at that last stanza from Karen A. Romanko’s “Bibliotheca Temporis” (Dragons, Knights & Angels, Issue 31, April 2006). Don’t we wish it would become “all the rage” and that spacefaring ships would take it out even further than our wild, little world.

 This month’s focus is on Jeff Gerke–former editor at various CBA publishing houses–who has created a comprehensive (though still formative) website on matters relating to Christian Speculative Arts–stories, novels, graphic novels, art, manga, etc. It’s called WHERE THE MAP ENDS.
